The original skylight was leaking and showed clear signs of age, clouding, heavy sealant buildup, patching, and ponding water around the curb.
The upgraded skylight now properly sealed and leak free with a cleaner, clearer, more finished appearance with a better-seated frame and improved curb detail.
In Waterbury, a recent skylight replacement project transformed a home, showcasing the expertise of Brown Roofing. Geoffrey, the sales representative, worked closely with the homeowners to understand their needs and recommend the best options for enhancing natural light and energy efficiency. After discussing various choices, the decision was made to replace the existing skylight with a modern, high-quality unit that would not only brighten the space but also improve insulation.
Under the skilled oversight of Project Manager Danny, the installation process was smooth and efficient. Danny ensured that every aspect of the project was executed with precision, from removing the old skylight to carefully sealing the new one to prevent any leaks. The end result was striking—a beautifully installed skylight that floods the interior with light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The homeowners were delighted with the transformation, appreciating both the aesthetic upgrade and the enhanced functionality of their living space. This project highlights Brown Roofing's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction in every aspect of their work.
The Brown Roofing team replaced a total of eight skylights on this job in Woodbridge. However, this set of skylights in particular, had a drastic makeover. Originally, these old skylights were not in good shape. The style of these skylights was outdated, and there was moss growing around them. Our crew removed these skylights and replaced them with newer models. The moss around the skylights was removed, and beautiful new copper flashing was installed.
Three new skylights were installed on this roof in Bethany. The Brown Roofing team also replaced this area of roofing on this home. Once our crew removed all of the old shingles and skylight from this area, they installed underlayment onto the roof, and around the skylights. This prevents water from damaging the wood, or from leaking through the skylights. Three new skylights, and new IKO Dynasty shingles were installed by our team. This customer chose the shingle color Frostone.
