Brookfield homeowner Brian reached out to Brown Roofing looking for a full roof replacement, along with new flashing around his chimney. After years of wear and visible moss growth, his roof was ready for an upgrade.
Inspector Mike went out to assess the situation and confirmed what Brian suspected: the roof was in rough shape and no longer performing the way it should. After walking Brian through our materials and process, he felt confident moving forward with our team.
Project Manager Carlos and his expert crew got to work by removing the old shingles and inspecting the plywood foundation, known as the sheathing. Any damaged areas were replaced with strong half-inch CDX plywood, creating a solid base for the new system.
From there, the crew installed ice and water shield along the eaves, sealed seams with all-weather deck tape per building codes, and applied Velora One synthetic underlayment across the rest of the roof. Drip edge and rake metal flashing were installed to properly guide water away from the home and into the gutters.
Brian chose the bold, modern shade of Granite Black from our IKO Dynasty collection, backed by The Brown Promise: our 50-year warranty. A ridge vent was added to improve ventilation, helping regulate temperature and moisture inside the home.
Special attention was given to the chimney area, where brand-new flashing was installed to ensure a tight, watertight seal, exactly what Brian had called about in the first place. After final touches and a full property cleanup, Brian’s new roof is complete, looking sharp and ready for years of reliable performance.
