Easton homeowner Sam needed a full roof replacement after being notified by his insurance company that it was time for an upgrade. With an aging asphalt shingle roof showing clear signs of wear, Sam reached out to Brown Roofing for a quote and timeline.
Inspector Nello went out to take a look and confirmed the condition: cracking, staining, and overall deterioration that made replacement the right call. After walking Sam through our process and materials, he felt confident moving forward with us, and we were glad to help get things back on track.
Project Manager Carlos and his expert crew got to work by removing the old shingles and inspecting the plywood foundation, known as the sheathing, for any signs of damage. Any compromised areas were replaced with strong half-inch CDX plywood to ensure a solid base for the new system.
With the structure secured, the crew installed ice and water shield along the eaves, sealed seams with all-weather deck tape per building codes, and applied Velora One synthetic underlayment across the remaining roof surface. Drip edge and rake metal flashing were installed to guide water safely into the gutters and protect the home from future intrusion.
Sam chose the bold, modern shade of Granite Black from our IKO Dynasty collection, backed by The Brown Promise: our 50-year warranty. To complete the system, a ridge vent was installed to promote proper airflow and reduce moisture buildup, with ridge cap shingles providing a clean, finished look.

With the sheathing secure, the team installed six feet of ice and water shield from the eaves, taped the seams to meet code, and rolled out Velora One synthetic underlayment. Drip edge and rake metal flashing were added for extra durability and clean edges.
Jennifer chose IKO Dynasty shingles in the warm, dimensional shade of Driftshake. This color is a beautiful pick that pairs well with many homes. A ridge vent was installed for attic ventilation, and new flashing was added around the chimney to ensure a watertight seal around an otherwise vulnerable junction.
Now Jennifer has a water-tight, great-looking roof with a 50-year warranty to back it up!
