This flat roof in Bridgeport looks so much better after a visit from the Brown Roofing team! When a leak was discovered on this flat roof, our crew was ready to help by installing a brand new flat roof. The new roof has increased the visual appeal, as well as the safety, of this building. 

When this homeowner called us out to their house and we saw this roof, we knew it was going to be a tough job. The condition of the roof was one of the worst we have seen in a while. This roof had every problem in the book. It had shingle damage, lichen and algae growth, rotting decking layer, leaky flashings—it was just terrible. Thankfully, they called us, Brown Roofing. We sent one of our technicians out there to inspect the roof, and once we got the green light to start working, we got straight to it. The old shingles were ripped off, followed by the rotten decking layer. We laid down a new plywood decking layer and new underlayment, along with Ice and Water. These three layers will ensure that if water somehow gets through the shingles, it won't leak through to the rest of the house. After all the layers were down, we installed the shingles, and this homeowner decided on our IKO Dynasty Granite Black Shingles. This was such a great choice as it perfectly went with the rest of the house. Now the customer has a dry, safe roof that is guaranteed for the next 50 years!

This homeowner's roof had leakage and shingle stains. The problem was solved by calling in our Brown Roofing team for a full roof replacement and new gutters. This beautiful home was suffering from moss, lichen, and algae growth. On top of this, there was also granular loss and color fade due to wear and tear over time. After we got the green light from the customer we got straight to work ripping up the old shingles and inspecting the decking layer below. We knew that some of the sheets needed to be replaced based on the information we gathered on the inspection appointment. Once the old plywood sheets were ripped up and replaced we could move on to sealing the roof.

For this, we always use three different materials, decking tape to seal all of the plywood seams, Sealeron Ice and Water to seal all the eves, rakes, valleys, and any 90-degree angles. Finally, we install a synthetic underlayment over any uncovered plywood.

Last but not least we installed the shingles and this customer decided on our IKO Dynasty Frostone Gray Shingles. When installing the shingles we always start at the bottommost edge and work our way across and up the roof ensuring that the shingles are properly overlapping. We also install flashings around any openings in the roof like chimneys and anywhere shingles meet the siding.

Now this customer has a brand new roof that is guaranteed to last them a lifetime and completely transform the look of their home.
