Roof Replacement Before & After Photos

This home was in need of a new roof, and our Brown Roofing team was ready to help. Old and stained shingles were replaced by reliable new IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Glacier. This homeowner can now rest assured that their home is looking great and staying safe, for many years to come.

This roof was suffering from many different types of damage. Firstly there were numerous small leaks that could be spotted from the attic. Additionally, there were also issues pertaining to all the lichen and algae growing on the shingles. On top of this, their original shingles were significantly faded. With all of these issues, it was apparent that this roof needed to be replaced, so that is what we did. Firstly we ripped up all the old shingles and inspected the decking layer below. We already predicted that this was going to be rotted in a few spots so when we saw damages we were not surprised. We took up all the sheets of plywood and laid down brand-new sheets. After this, we moved on to installing Sealeron Ice and Water along with a synthetic underlayment. Finally, we can install the shingles and this homeowner decided on our IKO Dynasty Castle Gray. With this brand new roof, this homeowner can be certain that their home will be dry and watertight for many many years to come.

 Our team took care of this customer's leaking roof. After talking with the customer and inspecting the roof and the leak we came to the conclusion that the roof needed to be replaced. 

The first step to any roof replacement is demo. We started ripping up the old shingles to get a better look at what was going on below. With the shingles up we located the exact spot where the water was getting through. It was obvious that the plywood around the leak needed to be replaced, but the rest of the decking layer was still in really good shape so we were able to save the customer money by using the existing layer.

Once the new sheets were in, we moved on to installing decking tape, Sealeron Ice and Water, and a synthetic underlayment. These three layers really help with sealing off the home from the elements in the event that the shingles are damaged. They also have the added benefit of insulating the home creating a more energy-efficient environment. 

Finally, we can install the shingles and this homeowner decided on our IKO Dynasty Summit Gray Shingles. As we installed the shingles we also installed flashings around all the openings in the roof like vents and chimneys, and this customer specifically asked for polished copper flashings so that is exactly what we installed. 

The Brown Roofing team has increased the safety of this home with a roof replacement. Our crew removed all of the existing shingles from this roof, and revealed the wood decking underneath. The team discovered that the wood decking was very damaged. In the left corner of this roof there are many dark spots that may indicate wood rot. In order to ensure that the new roof will be safe, our crew removed all of the damaged wood. The finished product looks incredible, and is much more reliable than the previous roof. This customer chose the color Brownstone for their new IKO Dynasty shingles.

This lovely home looks incredible after a roof replacement from the Brown Roofing team. All of the old and lichen covered shingles were scrapped off of the roof by our crew members. They inspected the wood decking, and made replacements where it was necessary. Then, protective underlayment was installed to keep water away from the new wood decking. Finally, our crew members installed new IKO Dynasty shingles. This customer chose the shingle color Granite Black. The new shingle color really complements the existing colors of this beautiful home.
