In Fairfield, CT, Brown Roofing completed a successful roof replacement for homeowner Catie, guided by the expertise of their salesman, Mat. The project involved replacing the old roof with IKO Dynasty shingles in the sophisticated color of Summit Gray. Mat worked closely with Catie to ensure her preferences were met, and the new shingles were chosen not only for their durability but also for their modern, elegant appearance. The installation was carried out with precision, transforming Catie's home with a fresh, contemporary look that enhanced its curb appeal while providing reliable protection. For this job, our team took care of this roof that was suffering from color fade and shingles gaps. Over time shingles wear down and can shrink in size causing gaps to form which allows water to leak into the home.

The first step in this replacement process is to rip up the old shingles and take a closer look at the decking layer below. Once the shingles were removed and we could see the decking layer it was obvious that it needed to be replaced due to water damage. This damage consisted of rot and mold which could be very dangerous to the homeowner. Due to this we ripped up the plywood and replaced it with brand new ¾ sheets. Next, we laid down decking tape, Sealeron Ice and Water, and a synthetic underlayment. These layers help protect the roof as well as insulate the home. Finally, we can install the shingles and this homeowner chose our IKO Dynasty Granite Black Shingles. 

Now that this homeowner has a brand new roof they can be confident knowing that their home will be safe and dry for a lifetime.
