Roof Replacement Before & After Photos

After a roof leak revealed aging materials and past patchwork repairs, Derby, CT homeowners Trevor and Michele turned to Brown Roofing for a full replacement. Inspector Austin conducted a detailed inspection, identifying worn shingles, temporary fixes, and mixed decking conditions throughout the home. Project Manager Carlos and his crew removed the existing roof and evaluated the structure beneath. Damaged tongue-and-groove decking was reinforced with precisely fitted CDX plywood, while a newer addition received a full decking replacement. Ice and water shield, Velora One synthetic underlayment, and metal edging were installed for comprehensive moisture protection. The project was completed with IKO Dynasty architectural shingles in Biscayne and a code-compliant SBS system on the low-slope section, resulting in a clean, durable finish. These clients in Derby were desperately in need of a new roof. Our crew removed the old shingles and installed all new Owens Corning shingles in the color, story gray. The homeowners loved the results and so do we!

While preforming a roof replacement for this customer, the Brown Roofing team installed a ridge vent. The new ridge vent was topped with new IKO Dynasty ridge caps in the color Granite Black. These new ridge caps look great, and the new ridge vent will help prevent water damage and mold for this homeowner. 

This roof had water damage and general wear and tear from old age, there was even moss and algae growing on the roof. We also took care of the rotting roof on their garage. After we got the shingles up we saw that the original roof had used a wood shake decking layer. Since that style is outdated we ripped it up and replaced it with a stronger plywood decking layer. The customer wanted to go with our IKO Dynasty Shadow Brown Shingles which perfectly complemented the rest of the house, and to ensure that their roof wouldn't leak again we layered Ice and water along with an underlayment. The customer was extremely happy with their roof which is guaranteed for the next 50 years.

For this job the Brown Roofing team tackled this color faded and water damaged roof. The moss and algae on this roof stripped away the UV protective layer which caused the shingles to lose their color and age faster. The original roof used a wood shake decking layer which is an outdated style so we ripped it up and installed our stronger plywood decking layer. By the end of the day the customer had a brand new roof they loved and one that is guaranteed for the next 50 years.
