Woodbridge homeowner Helen reached out to Brown Roofing after her chimney sweep reported that her chimney was in poor condition. Inspector Dennis visited the home for a full evaluation and confirmed that the chimney needed significant restoration. Our expert masonry team got to work, rebuilding the chimney from the roofline up with new bricks, fresh mortar, and a properly poured crown. We also installed clean, durable lead flashing to replace the old, failing material and ensure a watertight seal where the chimney meets the roof. Now, Helen’s chimney is fully rebuilt, structurally sound, and looking beautiful — a long-lasting upgrade she can rely on for years. Brown Won't Let You Down!
We replaced this Bethany roof, and their neighbor's on the same day! They love the new look, and so do we!!
This Bethany home was looking old and tired due to the beat up roof and broken gutter guards. We put a brand new Owens Corning roofing system on this home, and these homeowners are under warranty for the next 50 years.
This home in Bethany, CT had a deteriorating roof that needed to be replaced. This home also had a detached garage that was in the same condition. All around the roof, algae and lichen were growing and causing damage to the shingles. There was also staining from the chimneys and vents.
These damages compromised the roof and allowed water to seep into the home. To fix this we had to replace the shingles and any damaged wood underneath it. First, we ripped up the old shingles and inspected the decking layer to see if it needed replacing. Luckily the decking layer was in very good shape aside from one section. After that area was replaced we moved on to the sealing layer. This consists of 3 materials, strip tape, Sealeron Ice and Water, and a synthetic underlayment. These three materials work together to create a waterproof yet breathable layer around the decking layer.
Finally, we can install the shingles and this customer decided on our IKO Dynasty Frostone Gray Shingles. These shingles are installed from the bottom-most corner of the roof to the top-most corner to ensure that they are layered properly and displace as much water as possible. With their new roof in place, this homeowner can now enjoy peace of mind, and be confident that their home, belongings, and everyone inside are safe from the elements.
