The Roof Before
Here's what Andrew and Danielle's roof looked like before their roof replacement. Click through to see the transformation.
The Teardown Begins
The project began with a complete removal of the old shingles. Protective tarps were installed around the home to safeguard the property and maintain a clean, efficient worksite throughout the process.
The Decking Is Exposed
Beneath the shingles is the plywood roof decking, which serves as the structural foundation of the roofing system. Each section was carefully inspected for signs of rot, mold, or deterioration.
Seams Are Taped & Ice-and-Water Shield Is Installed
With the decking in good condition, all seams were sealed with all-weather deck tape to meet current building codes. Ice and water shield was installed along the eaves, in the valleys, and around all roof penetrations for added leak protection.
Underlayment Is Installed
The remaining roof surface was covered with Velora One synthetic underlayment, creating a breathable, water-resistant barrier across the entire roofing system.
New Shingles Are Installed
For their new roof, Andrew and Danielle selected IKO Dynasty architectural shingles in Glacier. These Impact 3-rated shingles provide enhanced durability and are backed by our 50-year warranty.
Ridge Vents Are Installed
Ridge vents were installed to allow hot, humid air to escape from the attic, helping reduce moisture buildup and improve overall roof performance.
