Roof Replacement Photo Album: Greenwich, CT Roof Replacement Featuring Granite Black IKO Dynasty Shingles

Greenwich homeowner David reached out to Brown Roofing after noticing his aging three-tab roof and failing chimney flashing needed attention. Inspector Lyndsie performed a full evaluation and confirmed it was time for an update. Project Manager Noel and the crew removed the old shingles, replaced sections of damaged plywood with new CDX decking, and installed a complete underlayment system including SealoronXT ice-and-water shield and Velora One synthetic underlayment. To finish, they installed IKO Dynasty shingles in David’s chosen shade of Granite Black and added brand-new metal chimney flashing for a clean, watertight seal. Before: Oxidized Chimney Flashing

The chimney flashing was lifting and heavily oxidized, which not only looked bad but also left the area vulnerable to leaks. Time to correct that with proper materials and craftsmanship.

The Teardown Begins

The crew began by removing all of the old shingles. Once removed, the plywood decking - the structural base of the roof - was fully exposed for inspection.

New Plywood Is Installed

Any damaged plywood was taken out to make room for brand-new, strong CDX sheets.

Ice-and-Water Shield Is Installed]

Each new sheet of plywood was numbered for accurate reporting back to the homeowner. SealoronXT ice-and-water shield was then applied from the eaves up six feet, protecting the roof's most vulnerable areas.

Underlayment Is Completed

Velora One synthetic underlayment was installed over the remaining decking, forming a breathable yet highly water-resistant protective layer.

New Shingles Are Installed
