The Old Roof
Here's what the old low-sloping roof section looked like on Sally's home. It was showing signs of age and wear. Swipe through to see the incredible transformation!
The Teardown Begins
The crew began by removing the old roofing materials down to the plywood decking. Each section of decking was inspected for damage, and any compromised wood was replaced with strong new CDX plywood to ensure a solid foundation.
New SBS Base Roof Is Installed
The first layer of the new SBS roofing system, called the base, was then installed. This layer uses Elastoflex by Polyglass, a trusted and durable product that provides long-lasting waterproof protection.
The SBS Roof Cap Is Installed
Next comes the cap layer, which is adhered directly over the base to create a clean, finished look and a watertight seal.
Ridge Vent Is Installed
A ridge vent was installed along the roof's peak to allow hot, humid air to escape, helping prevent damaging condensation buildup inside the attic.
A Beautiful New Skylight
A brand-new VELUX skylight was installed, replacing the old one with a modern, energy-efficient upgrade that lets in natural light beautifully.
A Nice New Pipe Boot
We also installed a new Lifetime Ultimate Pipe Flashing, ensuring a watertight seal around the roof vent for years of reliable performance.
The New Roof
The new low-sloping roof is complete, and it looks fantastic. A sleek, strong upgrade that blends performance and style perfectly.
