The Old Roof
Here's what Cenita's roof looked like before the renovation. Swipe through to see the stunning transformation!
The Teardown Begins
The crew began by removing all of the old shingles. Beneath them is the plywood layer called the sheathing: the structural foundation of the roof that must be in excellent condition before any new materials go on.
Stripped Down to the Rafters
Upon inspection, the entire sheathing was found to be compromised, so the team stripped the roof down to the rafters to ensure a complete and lasting rebuild.
New Plywood Is Installed
New CDX plywood sheets were installed, replacing the damaged wood and creating a strong, reliable base for the new roofing system.
Seams Are Taped and Ice and Water Shield Is Installed
Each plywood seam was taped to meet current building codes, and a layer of ice and water shield membrane was applied from the eaves up six feet for superior weather protection.
New Shingles Are Installed
Next, the crew installed IKO Dynasty shingles in Frostone Gray, hand-selected by Cenita. These premium, Impact-3-rated shingles are built for strength and backed by our 50-year warranty.
New Pipe Boot
A new Manning Perma-Boot was installed to secure the roof vent, ensuring a durable and watertight seal.
New Flashing on the Chimney
resh chimney flashing was added, creating a clean, watertight barrier where the chimney meets the roof - a key step for long-term leak prevention.
The New Roof
The project is complete, and the results speak for themselves. Cenita's home now features a sleek, durable roofing system built to perform beautifully in all seasons.
