The Old Roof
Here's a look at Myra's roof before the renovation. Swipe through to see the incredible transformation!
Protecting the Property
Before the teardown begins, the crew lays out large tarps to fully protect the homeowner's property and make cleanup efficient by catching all the falling debris.
The Decking Is Exposed
Underneath the old shingles is a layer of plywood called the decking: the structural foundation of the roof. The crew carefully inspects it for any signs of rot or damage.
Bad Plywood Is Removed
Any compromised plywood is removed and replaced with strong new CDX sheets, ensuring a sturdy base for the new roofing system.
Ice-and-Water Shield Is Installed
The entire roof is covered with ice and water shield membrane, adhered directly to the decking for complete waterproof protection. This ensures Myra's home is fully sealed against rain, snow, and ice.
New Shingles Are Installed
Now for the new shingles! Myra chose IKO Dynasty in Granite Black. This is a sleek, durable choice backed by our 50-year Brown Promise warranty.
Ridge Vent Is Installed
A new ridge vent is installed along the peak, allowing hot, humid air to escape from the attic and preventing harmful condensation buildup.
New Flashing Is Installed on the Chimney
Fresh flashing is installed around the base of the chimney to create a watertight seal where it meets the roof.
Nicely Flashed
The completed chimney flashing looks clean, precise, and built to last.
The New Roof
The roof is complete and looking fantastic. A beautiful, long-lasting upgrade Myra can rely on for decades!
