Before: Chimney Needs Work
The flashing around the chimney was lifting and no longer sealed properly, putting the home at high risk for leaks. Time to get that fixed!
The Teardown Starts
The crew began by removing the old shingles to expose the underlying plywood decking: the structural foundation of the roof. Any damaged or weakened sections were replaced with strong new plywood for a safe, solid base.
New Skylights Are Installed
Two brand-new VELUX skylights were installed, each with its own premium flashing kit to ensure a secure, watertight fit and let in beautiful natural light.
The Underlayment Is Completed
A full layer of underlayment was applied across the decking, adding an extra waterproof barrier to protect against tough New England weather.
New Shingles Are Installed

New Flashing for the Chimney
The chimney received fresh, expertly installed lead flashing: a strong, long-lasting shield against water intrusion at one of the most vulnerable areas of the roof.
