Before: Lifting Shingles

The old three-tab shingles were well past their lifespan and lifting due to age and improper fastening. Time for a strong, modern system!

The Teardown Starts

The crew begins by removing all the old shingles to reveal the plywood decking beneath: the structural foundation that supports the entire roof.

Seams Are Taped & Ice-and-Water Shield Is Installed

To meet current building codes, the seams of the decking are sealed with all-weather deck tape, and ice & water shield is installed from the eaves up six feet to defend against rain, wind, and ice dams.

Underlayment Is Complete

The remaining surface is covered with Velora One synthetic underlayment, creating a fully protected and weather-resistant base for the new roof.

New Shingles Are Installed

Now for the finishing layer: IKO Dynasty shingles in Atlantic Blue! Sam chose a bold, stunning shade that pops beautifully against his white siding. These impact-rated shingles are backed by our 50-year warranty.
