The Roof Before
Here's a look at Beverly's roof before the replacement. While it wasn't in terrible shape, it was definitely showing signs of wear, plus a few missing shingles. Click through to see the stunning transformation!

Preparing for the Teardown
Before the teardown begins, large protective tarps are set up around the roof's perimeter to catch falling debris and safeguard the entire property from potential damage.

The Teardown Begins
The crew begins by carefully removing all of the old shingles. Beneath them lies the plywood layer known as the sheathing, which is the structural foundation of the roof. This layer is thoroughly inspected for any signs of damage, such as rot or mold, to ensure a solid and secure base for the new roof.

The Sheathing Is Exposed
Only a small section near the chimney needed replacement - woohoo! With the sheathing in great shape overall, we're ready to move on to the next step.

Seams Are Taped and Ice and Water Shield Is Installed
Ice and water shield membrane is applied from the eaves up six feet to safeguard the most vulnerable parts of the roof from harsh elements like rain, snow, and ice. After that, all seams between the remaining plywood sheets are sealed with all-weather deck tape to meet building codes and reinforce long-term durability.

Underlayment Is Completed
Velora One synthetic underlayment is then installed across the rest of the roof sheathing, creating a strong, water-resistant barrier that adds an extra layer of protection beneath the rest of the shingles.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now it's time for the new shingles! For this project, Beverly chose the eye-catching shade of Biscayne from our IKO Dynasty collection. These are premium laminated shingles known for their strength and style. Like all our IKO Dynasty installations, these shingles are proudly backed by Brown Roofing's 50-year warranty.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
To maintain proper airflow, a ridge vent is installed along the peak of the roof, allowing hot, humid air to escape from the attic and prevent moisture buildup.

The Roof Is Complete
With the final details complete and the property thoroughly cleaned, Beverly's new roof is officially finished, and it looks fantastic!
