The Teardown Begins
Take a gander at Joan's roof before the replacement. Now swipe through to see the finished look!

The Decking Is Exposed
The crew tears off all of the old shingles, exposing the layer of plywood underneath, which is called the sheathing. This is the structural foundation of the roof.

Bad Plywood Is Removed & New Plywood Is Installed
As the structural foundation of the roof, the health of the sheathing is essential. Any sections found with damage are promptly removed and replaced by our crew with sturdy new CDX plywood, ensuring a solid base for the new shingles.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
Once the plywood is secured, all the seams are sealed up with heavy-duty all-weather deck tape for added protection. Then, a full layer of underlayment is rolled out across the roof: a water-resistant membrane that shields the sheathing from moisture, wind, snow, and other harsh elements.

New Shingles Are Installed
Joan picked out her favorite shingles, and we were happy to make it happen! At Brown Roofing, we always aim to honor our homeowners' personal preferences, because everyone deserves a roof they'll love for years to come.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A ridge vent is installed along the peaks of the roof, giving hot, humid air from inside the home a way to escape. This keeps airflow steady and helps prevent any damaging condensation from building up.

The Finished Look
With everything in place and the property left spotless, Joan's new roof is officially complete!
