Roof Replacement Photo Album: Brand-New Roof and Chimney Work in Orange, CT

Project Manager Bill and his expert crew made their way to Orange to give Lena’s home the roof it deserved—crafted with care, built with the best. Before the shingles went up, our talented masons rebuilt her chimney to ensure everything was solid from the ground up. Then it was time for the main event! The crew stripped off the old shingles, laid down protective underlayment, and topped it all off with stunning IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black. The Old Roof

Before we got to work, Lena's roof had seen better days-but don't worry, that's our specialty! Click through to see the super transformation!

The Teardown

Before our roofing crew got started, our expert masons built Lena a gorgeous new chimney. With that out of the way, the crew gets to work tearing off the old shingles, revealing the plywood foundation, which is called the sheathing, underneath.

The Underlayment

In order to secure a strong, solid base impervious to moisture damage, the crew installs underlayment over the entire surface of the sheathing. This thin membrane provides superior protection against destructive elements like rain, snow, and ice.

The New Shingles

With the underlayment fully in place, it's time to install the new shingles! Brown Roofing proudly installs premium-laminated architectural IKO Dynasty shingles for all roofs backed by our 50-year warranty. For her new roof, Lena has selected the sleek shade of Granite Black, which is the most popular color choice.
