Aging Roof Before Replacement
This roof was showing signs of age, including faded shingles, uneven wear, debris buildup, and dark staining along the roof surface.
Lifted Shingles and Moss Growth
This close-up shows shingles that are lifting, with moss and debris collecting in the seams. Once shingles lose their seal, wind and water have a much easier path underneath, which can lead to further damage over time
Property Protection During Tear-Off
The crew has the home and landscaping protected with tarps and plywood while the old roofing system is being removed. This step helps control debris, protect the property, and keep the job site organized during installation.
Chimney Flashing Damage Exposed
Once the shingles were removed, the chimney base revealed heavy old sealant, deteriorated flashing, and vulnerable roof-to-chimney transitions.
Chimney Cricket Protection
This photo shows a chimney cricket installed behind the chimney to help divert water around the brick structure instead of allowing it to sit and collect. This is an important detail because chimneys are one of the most common leak-prone areas on a roof.
Flashing Installation
.Proper chimney flashing is critical because even a small gap can allow wind-driven rain or snow melt to work its way into the roofing system.
Underlayment Going Down
After the old roofing was stripped, the crew began installing new underlayment across the roof deck. This layer creates an added line of defense beneath the shingles and helps prepare the roof for long-term protection.
Ridge Cap Installation in Progress
This photo shows the Brown Roofing crew installing the ridge cap on an IKO Dynasty Summit Gray roofing system. The ridge cap is being carefully aligned and sealed along the peak of the roof, helping protect one of the highest and most exposed areas from wind-driven rain and moisture.
Clean New Roof From Above
This aerial view shows a completed roofing system with clean, even shingle lines across the main roof sections.
