Before: A fallen tree severely damaged the metal roof on this Sherman, CT barn and even compromised several trusses.
After: Production Manager Bill and his crew replaced the damaged trusses and restored the barn with a new fortified metal roof.
Before:
The home’s old cedar shake roof had weathered significantly, especially around the chimney and roof transitions where wood shakes can hold moisture and become vulnerable over time.
After:
Brown Roofing upgraded the home to a standing seam metal roof, giving the property long-lasting protection, clean architectural lines, and a stronger, better-flashed chimney-to-roof connection.
Before:
The new construction porch roof was framed and ready for its finished roofing system, with exposed wood, open roof details, and skylight openings prepared for installation.
After:
Brown Roofing completed the porch with a sleek black standing seam metal roof, carefully fitted around the skylight for a clean, modern finish and long-lasting weather protection.
We installed a metal roof on this home in Salisbury, CT. The steps to installing a metal roof are fairly similar to installing a shingle roof. First, we rip up the old shingles and take a look at the existing decking layer and determine if it's reusable. For this job, we were able to reuse the layer. All the plywood sheets were in good shape. Next, we lay down an underlayment and Ice and Water. These layers act as an extra layer of protection and insulation for the home. In case the shingles are penetrated by anything these layers can help plug or seal the hole until proper repairs can be made. Finally, we install the metal roof. Our roofs are interlocking and they overlap so the seams are nearly invisible. This roof transformed the look of this home and truly increased the curb value of it.
Before: Worn cedar shakes, weathered surfaces, and a failing chimney left this Bridgewater home ready for a major upgrade.
After: A brand-new ProVia metal slate roof and rebuilt chimney completely transformed the home’s appearance, durability, and curb appeal.
