Before: A fallen tree severely damaged the metal roof on this Sherman, CT barn and even compromised several trusses.

After: Production Manager Bill and his crew replaced the damaged trusses and restored the barn with a new fortified metal roof.

We installed a metal roof on this home in Salisbury, CT. The steps to installing a metal roof are fairly similar to installing a shingle roof. First, we rip up the old shingles and take a look at the existing decking layer and determine if it's reusable. For this job, we were able to reuse the layer. All the plywood sheets were in good shape. Next, we lay down an underlayment and Ice and Water. These layers act as an extra layer of protection and insulation for the home. In case the shingles are penetrated by anything these layers can help plug or seal the hole until proper repairs can be made. Finally, we install the metal roof. Our roofs are interlocking and they overlap so the seams are nearly invisible. This roof transformed the look of this home and truly increased the curb value of it.

When Steven shared his idea to enhance the look of his home with copper accents, Chase agreed it was an excellent choice. Before: During Darwin’s inspection, the existing shingle roof showed heavy weathering, dark streaking, and widespread organic growth, especially across the front roof sections. The shingles looked aged, stained, and well past their prime.

After: Production Manager Bill and crew transformed the home with new metal roofing and IKO Dynasty Granite Black shingles, giving the main roof a clean, uniform, and refreshed appearance. The new roofline looks sharp, fortified, and built to protect this Darien home for years to come
