The Roof Before
Here is a look at Christine's roof before the renovation. Click through to see how we transformed it!

Rebuilding the Chimney
Before the roofing even began, our expert masons got to work rebuilding the chimney-something we like to take care of first to ensure a smooth roofing process.

The Finished Chimney
Christine's chimney is looking sharper than ever! Now let's get to work on that roof.

The Teardown Begins
The crew kicks things off by carefully stripping off all of the old shingles. Before that, the crew carefully hangs tarps along the edges of the roof to not only protects the homeowner's property from falling debris, but also help speed up the cleanup once the project is done.

The Sheathing Is Examined
Underneath the shingles lies the sheathing. This is a layer of plywood that acts as the structural foundation of the roof. As such, it must be completely free of damage before the new shingles can be installed. Any sections found rot, decay, or mold are promptly removed.

New Plywood Is Installed
Durable new 1/2" CDX plywood is installed in place of the removed areas, ensuring a strong and solid base.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
The seams of each sheet of plywood are taped up with heavy-duty Sealoron XT deck tape. After that, underlayment is installed over the entire surface. This thin, water-resistant material protects the sheathing from harsh elements like rain, snow, and ice.

Same for the Garage
Simultaneously, the same process is also happening to Christine's garage: old shingle teardown, sheathing inspection and replacement where damaged, and now seams taped and underlayment installed!

New Shingles Are Installed
With the underlayment fully in place, we're ready to start installing the new IKO Dynasty shingles! For her new roof, Christine has selected the highly popular and ever-matching shade of Granite Black to beautifully complement her home.

New Fascia Board Is Installed
Our crew found that the fascia boards on this house were rough and damaged and needed to be replaced. Check out the difference that beautiful bright white makes!

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A ridge vent is installed along the highest points of the roof. This vent ensures proper airflow by allowing hot, moist air that rises from the house a way to escape, eliminating damaging condensation buildup.

The Roof After
After a couple finishing touches like installing a ridge cap over the right vent for a seamless finish and securing flashing around all roof pipes, Christine's new roof is officially finished and looking fantastic!
